GPS for the iPhone
Last week, Apple launched the SDK for the iPhone. This allows third-party groups to create applications for the iPhone. Today, we finally see the importance of the SDK.
Its called G-Fi it is a GPS receiver which can also work on your PC, but the main use is for the iPhone. G-Fi will wireless communicate with the iPhone and work with the G-Fi software to allow the iPhone to be used as Satellite Navigation.

This shows a great example of the importance of the SDK, allowing companies to do things which were thought not possible with the current iPhone. We are still waiting for the iPhone gen2 to be released which hopefully will come with 3G and GPS.

GPS and things for Iphone is a good idea, but from the image i assume that thing next to the iphone attaches to the back, and if you ask me look far to big for a device designed with the intention to be sleek.

Xeno, I believe its wireless device. So you have your iPhone in your car cradle and you have the GPS device somewhere else in the car.

Ah, so that means it will be inusable when walking on streets for example, I have a GPS receiver that is the not much larger than end section of my finger.
